Owensboro is known for loving its' community well. The Overflow Cafe located inside Don Moore 54 is the epitome of Community Service and this week they celebrate 10 years.

The local homeless shelters are often at capacity. The winter months have them packed to the brim with families, individuals, and children. This creates a long list of items needed and you can help fill that need.

Many individuals are homeless in Owensboro and our shelters are FULL! There are many items needed daily to help make ends meet and provide care. Here's the list!

The Daniel Pitino Shelter will be hosting a block party on Friday, September 8, from 5-7 p.m. and they are inviting to whole community to attend!

Many families struggle to put food on the table all year long.  Lots of children in our community depend on the food they receive at school for breakfast and lunch.  I raised the question "Where can families in need go to get a free meal in our community?"

I have always been told it was better to give than to receive!  Apparently, a local Owensboro man heard the very same thing when he made a very large and anonymous donation for those in need this week!
