Reese Witherspoon in true southern fashion is giving back in this time of crisis across the world. In an effort to show appreciation to America's teachers she is extending a very gracious offer from her clothing line.

She may be from Nashville, but actress Reese Witherspoon is coming to Louisville for a special show and booking signing to share her stories about growing up and entertaining in the South.

I just can't believe that I was not invited to this. Reese Witherspoon, my long-lost bestie, celebrated her 40th birthday over the weekend in LA and no one even told me about it! Ugh, rude. Anyway, country superstar Keith Urban wasn't only invited, but he even entertained the guests! And, Reese joined him on stage for a country classic... Check it out!

To her credit, Reese Witherspoon has owned up to bad behavior and pled no contest to physical obstruction after trying to intervene when her husband, Jim Toth, was busted for DUI in Atlanta recently. Toth also pled no contest.

They quoted Carrie as saying, in a recent interview with KO Video, Underwood said that if she could choose one actress to play her role in a biopic, it would be Reese Witherspoon.

The Girl Scouts turned 100 this year. Founded by Juliette Gordon Low originally for the girls of Savannah,  GA.,  today there are scouts all over the world.  They started selling the cookies in 1917, today over 200 million boxes are sold each year. The Parade article made me wonder if there were Country singers who had been girl scouts.

Nominations for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning, and the song "Coming Home" from Country Strong was among the four nominees for Best Original Song. This recognition continues the on-again-off-again relationship country music and Oscar have had for some 30 years.
