Tennessee’s 10 Highest-Rated Theme Parks, According to TripAdvisor
Have you ever wanted to take a vacation and only visit theme parks? If so, the TripAdvisor list of the 10 highest-rated Tennessee theme parks should be a guide you keep close.
10. Big Top Arcade
Big Top Arcade in Pigeon Forge is exactly what it says it is... a cornucopia of arcade games, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling. Line up for your tokens.
9. Moonshine Mountain Coaster
It's really only a coaster, but the Moonshine Mountain Coaster is listed as an amusement park. Who cares if you're having fun, right?
8. Dollywood's Splash Country
I could spend several days in a water park. For me, they simply do not get old. The Dollywood Splash Country staff might have to ask me to leave.
7. Rockin' Raceway Arcade
Karts and games and games and karts. Yes, I could spend a whole day at Rockin' Raceway Arcade, too.
6. Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area
I don't ski, but from the looks of it, that wouldn't be an issue.
5. Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster
I'll climb into an alpine coaster anytime one is available. That this one is the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster makes it even more irresistible.
4. Anakeesta
Anakeesta, a relatively new park in Gatlinburg, seems to add devotees every year.
3. Gatlinburg SkyPark
The Gatlinburg SkyPark is a must on any Gatlinburg trip. Plus, it takes you to the Skybridge and one of the best views in the Smokies.
2. The Island in Pigeon Forge
The Island in Pigeon Forge is a unique mix of shops (more than 80 of them), restaurants, rides, and attractions on 23 acres of fun.
1. Dollywood
Is it even remotely surprising that Dollywood tops the list?
It seems like if you visit East Tennessee and the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge region, you could pretty much throw a dart and hit one of the ten most popular amusement parks in Tennessee. That's pretty unbeatable when you're planning a vacation. The thing is, how much time will you need if you want to hit them all in one trip?
One more thing...if Opryland USA was still functioning, it would be 1) at least in the top three, and 2) the only one on this list NOT in the Eastern Time Zone.
