As the Thumbs Up for Lane Goodwin campaign continues to circle the globe, more and more news outfits around the country are picking up the story.

While scrolling through the headlines in the college basketball section of the CBS Sports website, I noticed the headline "Kentucky players lend 'thumbs' to boy's cancer fight." It was among the top three headlines at the time.

It's a tremendous piece about the effortless generosity of Kentucky players and their love and concern for Lane Goodwin. The story features a news piece about Lane Goodwin, a YouTube video showing the University of Evansville's support for Lane, and a super cool video (below) of UK freshman star Nerlens Noel chatting with Lane via Skype.

It's awesome that CBS picked up on this story that's gone way beyond viral.

It's become a global phenomenon.
