I have mentioned on a many an occasion how much I love to hit the road for quick trips and just see what's out there.

Kentucky is a perfect state (I mean commonwealth) for that sort of thing. We have extraordinary lakes, beautiful state and national parks, and some gorgeous woodlands.

For now, let's focus on a huge problem facing Kentucky's most beautiful forest, the Daniel Boone National Forest.

It never ceases to amaze me that people just throw their crap out the car window on the ground...sometimes within FEET of a trash can.

Look at this. It's outrageous:

A beautiful part of Kentucky marred by all this litter.

I second good ol' Woodsy: "Give a hoot, don't pollute!"

Although, after seeing that, Woodsy might throw in a few cuss words.
