Free Parking, Free Sunscreen, Free Soft Drinks: Holiday World Cracks Forbes’ Top 40
Forbes just released its annual Best Customer Service Rankings, and southern Indiana’s Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari landed in the Top 40.
This is a huge accomplishment when you consider that Holiday World is situated in the small town of Santa Claus and it's sharing space on a list that includes global powerhouses like Amazon, FedEx, and American Express.
Forbes compiles this list annually based on customer service feedback from HundredX surveys. This year, over 164,000 consumers were contacted and polled about 5,500 different brands. When all the feedback was compiled, Holiday World ranked 40th!
The park, which is currently celebrating Happy Halloween Weekends, has long been known for its commitment to customer service. The park sets itself apart from its competitors by offering free parking, free sunscreen, and free Pepsi soft drinks.

Holiday World isn’t the only local name on the Forbes list. Coffee (#29), Walmart (#35), and Viking Cruises (#39). Publix just opened a location in Owensboro, KY, about 30 minutes from Holiday World. And as a fun note, Viking, best known for its European cruises, also runs an American tour that recently stopped in Henderson and Owensboro.
