Eyewitness News meteorologist Wayne Hart reports that we hit 62 degrees Saturday afternoon. Just Wednesday, we hit the low 50s. But the temperatures are expected to bottom out for the next four days.

Thankfully, the Homeless Council of Ohio Valley will be opening warming shelters for those nights.

They will be open from 8PM to 8AM and those who need them must check in no later than midnight. The shelters will be open to all ages and genders.

From the council's press release:

For Thursday and Friday, February 12 & 13, the shelter will be located at River Tree Church, 600 Salem Drive, Owensboro, KY, 42303.

For Saturday and Sunday, February 14 & 15, the shelter will be located at First Baptist Church, 230 J.R. Miller Blvd., Owensboro, KY 42303.

Packaged snacks and showers will be provided. Transportation will be provided at 8PM each evening from the Pitino Shelter.
