Can you imagine losing a child and completely forgetting what he or she sounds like?  That happened to Jennifer and Jeff Tetrick after they lost their son to cancer.  As our 2017 St. Jude Radiothon continues, we're taking time to remember 11-year-old Chance Tetrick.  On, Feb 21, 2013, Chance was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. After his passing on August 4, 2014, his mother was afraid she was losing her memory of him and couldn't remember the sound of his voice, until she heard him on a St. Jude Radiothon . . . much like the radiothon we're having now on WBKR.  Chance's story always reminds us of the power of radio, the power of St. Jude and the power of community.  And we're honored to share his story (and our song inspired by him) with you.

St. Jude founder Danny Thomas said, "No child should die in the dawn of life." And, here at WBKR, we're rolling up our sleeves and doing what we can to help prevent mothers like Jenn from having to rely on the radio to help them remember what their children sound like.
