OVEN-ROASTED ASPARAGUS

Olive Oil
Asparagus
Pepper
Fresh Garlic (2 cloves for every 10 to 15 spears)
Parmesan Cheese for garnish

 

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a small baking  dish, drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil for each 10 to 15 spears  Wash asparagus and cut about 1 to 1 1/2 inches off the bottom of each spear.  Place in baking dish and gently toss to coat asparagus with oil.  Sprinkle with ground pepper.  Place 2 cloves of garlic in garlic press and mix in with asparagus spears.  Roast in oven for 5 - 10 minutes and try not to over cook.  The asparagus will continue to cook for a few minutes after it comes out of the oven.  Garnish with Parmesan cheese and serve.
