Now, I have plenty of friends who will argue there's no way Black Licorice is the most popular Jelly Bean in Kentucky, but I have to admit it. That's my absolute favorite flavor. I know. I know. I can hear dissension in the ranks as I type. LOL!
In Indiana, it seems the favorite flavor is Blueberry. In Illinois? Chocolate. Wait! Hold on. What? I don't think I have ever had a chocolate jelly bean. Apparently, I need to drive to Illinois like, I don't know, NOW!
According to CandyStore.com, there are over 200 flavors of Jelly Beans and over 16 billion are made each Easter. And here's another fun fact. If you took those Jelly Beans and placed them all together, they could reach 1/3 of the way TO THE MOON!
And one other fun Jelly Bean fact I didn't know. I'm not sure if you did either. But Jelly Beans were originally a Christmas candy . . . until around 1930.
