The Castlen Dog Park in Owensboro is hosting its first ever Howl-O-Ween event this afternoon. However, today's excessive and persistent rain is forcing the event indoors.

Due to rain, organizers of Howl-O-Ween have worked with the City of Owensboro to move today's event indoors.  It will now take place at the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administration Center at 1530 McJohnson Avenue.

The event is scheduled from 4pm to 6pm and you're encouraged to wear a costume and bring your furry family member.  Heck, your dogs are encouraged to wear costumes as well.   The event is absolutely FREE and is sponsored by Caslten Realtors, Pampered Paws, Atmos Energy, Owensboro Eye Care, and Owensboro Parks & Recreation.

There will be "trick-or-treating" for your furry friends, inflatables for the kids and more!

These local businesses will be on site supporting the event:

  • TGI Fridays
  • The Yoga Loft
  • Owensboro Animal Hospital
  • Pampered Paws
  • T.D. Tuff Decisions
  • SparKY
  • G.G. of Bark Avenue
  • Search & Rescue
  • Pet Smart
  • Paws Town
  • Pure Barre
  • Azeel Arts

By the way, if you are a vendor for the event, you are asked to be at the Parks and Rec office by 3pm to set up your table and area.
