Wednesday, Jaclyn and I celebrated Grocer's Day at Houchen's IGA on 25th Street in Owensboro.  In fact, there were American Cancer Society teams at every Houchen's location in the area selling pink ribbons for ACS' breast cancer research programs.  WBKR is a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society and its two primary fundraisers each year, Relay For Life and Making Strides.  So, naturally, Jaclyn and I volunteered to visit Houchen's and bag groceries for charity.  But, because we are the poster-children for ADHD, we got completely distracted and hotwired the motorized carts.  Let the drag race begin!!

Because we had so much fun in our impromptu drag race, Jaclyn and I decided that we needed to take a motorized-cart tour of Houchen's impressive 25th street location.  Come along and take the tour with us.  But be warned!  You must fasten your seatbelts because it is going to be a BUMPY RIDE!!

After deciding it was in everyone's best interest that we put the carts in park, Jaclyn and I decided to show off our grocery-bagging skills.  And, naturally, we got a little off task again and completely raided the cart of an unsuspecting shopper.

Thanks to Houchen's for having us out for Grocer's Day and an extra special "Thank you!" for not kicking us out!  Pink ribbons remain on sale for just a dollar at all area Houchen's locations and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society!  And, mark your calendars for Sunday, October 23rd.  It's the 2nd annual Making Strides event here in Owensboro/Daviess County.  WBKR will have a team on hand and we invite each and everyone of you to join us.  And, don't worry!  If you can't walk the 3-mile course, Jaclyn and I just may zip by in a motorized cart to give you a lift.  Of course, you'll be riding at your own risk!
