Do you or someone you know like making TikTok videos? If so, I am have some really fun news for you.  Yesterday, I chatted with my friend Karla Ward, who is the Executive Director of New Beginnings here in Owensboro.  They are hosting their first-ever TikTok Challenge and you're invited to submit an entry.

The agency is inviting everyone in the community to join in the fun for a chance to win a "swag bag" and the opportunity to have your TikTok video featured on WBKR and all of our social media platforms.  And, yes!  Angel and I will feature you on our morning show.

New Beginnings has issued some guidelines for entries, the intent of which to ensure safety and appropriateness.  Here are the official "house" rules for the challenge:

#1- The TikTok of your choice MUST be appropriate and should NOT include explicit language, nudity, or offensive gestures.

#2- Your TikTok may include whomever you choose, if they CONSENT (meaning they agree and say "yes") to the video being posted for the public to view

#3- If you are under the age of 14, parent consent to post is highly encouraged, as this will be a public viewing and parents need to be aware of what their kids are doing online.

Now, let's get down to the really fun part.  It's time to make your TikTok.  If you need some inspiration, this may do it.  Here's "Quarantina Turner!"  LOL!

Now, make YOUR TikTok and, when you do, be sure you do the following:

Follow New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services on Facebook

Post your TikTok to our wall OR post it to your Facebook wall

Tag New Beginnings

The deadline for posting and sharing your TikTok is 6/1 and Angel and I will announce and post the winner on Wednesday, June 3rd here at WBKR!

Good luck.  Now get ready.  Get set.  TikTok!
