Welcome to my new feature. It's called Opry Spotlight. And since our good friend and advertising/promotions manager, April Hyde, updates me weekly on Grand Ole Opry goings on and awesome videos, I thought I'd share.

This performance, to me, represents what's so great about the Opry. Obviously, the stage doors are open for country music's biggest names. During my last few visits, I've seen Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood. I've seen the legends like Jim Ed Brown, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Ricky Skaggs, to name a few.

But the Opry also ALWAYS welcomes country's newest artists. And I'm talking about some I have never heard of.

Case in point, this incredible singer/songwriter, Mo Pitney. And this SONG! It's such an old school country story ballad. I love it!

And I hope you do, too. And I hope you continue to enjoy Opry Spotlight.

And I certainly hope we get to hear more from Mo Pitney.
