Sometimes, poor planning can actually turn into something pretty spectacular -- at least in the case of superstar Garth Brooks.

Garth Brooks has something under his cowboy hat and up his sleeve regarding new music in 2014. Exactly what he is planning remains a bit of a mystery, intentionally so. He did say that something he may do between now and fall 2014 is the biggest thing he's ever attempted!

When Garth comes back, he really comes back! Garth recently (unexpectedly) announced what we've all been hoping for... a world tour in 2014. But, what we couldn't have expected is just how long he's planning this tour for. Amanda Hensel has all the details...

This shouldn't be shocking at all, but Garth Brooks' new boxed set, Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades of Influences has landed at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart in just its second week. It debuted at number three, which isn't too shabby at all for Brooks, who announced on Monday he will embark on a world tour next year.

Well, we have been speculating for months if Garth Brooks would indeed go back on tour. Now we know. He announced on 'Good Morning America' this morning that he's going on tour in 2014 -- and no one was more surprised than him.

Garth Brooks can easily fill up a stadium of eager concert attendees, and apparently, he can also beckon millions of viewers for an impressive national TV showing. On Friday (Nov. 29), the singer proved he can still top television ratings with an airing of his 'Live From Las Vegas' farewell show.

Garth Brooks is back, and his newest project, 'Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences' will be available just before Thanksgiving, giving every country fan a huge reason to be grateful as they're slicing into the turkey.

Garth Brooks' half-sister, Betsy Smittle, has died. The 60-year-old was known as Brooks' bass player for part of his career. She also released one solo album and was a gay rights activist who performed and participated in numerous gay rights events.

Back in August, Chad tipped us off on the gossip circulating about Garth Brooks returning to the stage in 2014. Like many of you did, I went to Garth's website to see what I could find. The first country concert I ever saw was Garth Brooks' tour way back in the late 90's.  And, I can honestly say, I haven't seen anything like it since.  But, there is good news brewing and rumors are swirling that Garth may be ready to hit the road again in 2014.
