Snakes are a part of life in these parts. I haven't seen one out in the wild in quite some time, but I hear and I see about incidents with snakes, real ones, all the time. A listener caught this incident on video outside the Ohio County Health Department in Hartford.
When a county-wide vote was held in April, both of Hartford's precincts votes YES on going wet. The Ohio County vote fell through, but Hartford will get its own wet/dry vote in January.
The wet/dry issue isn't finished yet in Ohio County. When the countywide special election was held in April, both of Hartford's precincts voted in favor of the county going wet. Ultimately, the vote went the way of the county, despite Beaver Dam going wet, staying dry. Now, a new online petition has been started to get a special wet/dry election solely for the city of Hartford.
