Roughly four years ago, Brock Pederson sat in his hospital bed in Texas and tuned into the WBKR St. Jude Radiothon in Owensboro, Kentucky. Brock's mom Amye is from western Kentucky and she joined the event via phone from Brock's hospital room to share her family's story. Though Brock wasn't being treated in Memphis, he was being treated with St. Jude protocols developed their. Amye hoped Brock's story would inspire others to give. Astonishingly, it inspired Brock to give too.

Amye's best friend, Michelle Vincent, was raising money for St. Jude with her Cuties for a Cure Pageant and Brock really wanted to do something to help her achieve her goal.

So, the young man, despite being in a fight for his own life, got to work. From that hospital bed, he made $1345.00!

Unfortunately, we lost Brock shortly after that, but his fundraising legacy has lived on through his family and the hashtag #BattingForBrock. And now, his younger brother Coop has stepped up to the plate! The Pedersons remain a vital part of the annual St. Jude Radiothon in Owensboro and, this year, Coop is raising money in his brother's honor. His goal? Just like his big brother's. Coop wants to raise at least $1300. And he developed a strategy to get himself there.

Coop laid out the following plan. If he can get 26 people to donate $50.00, he'll get to $1300. If he can get 65 people to donate $20, he'll be at $1300. If he can get 130 people to donate $10, he'll be at $1300! According to Amye, "No matter what, he is just happy to be able to do this in Brock's memory." Amye adds, "It's that time of year, where we get to do one of the things that Brock truly loved to help with."

So, what do you say? Wanna step up to the plate and the field with Coop? You can donate here-->
