Truly A Hidden Bargain Shoppers Dream In Owensboro [PHOTOS]
I discovered the Baptist Center Store about 11 years ago while working for the Parks Department and have been shopping this precious gem of Owensboro since.
The center serves as multiple venues for the community from after-school homework help to bible studies and worship and they even have a food pantry. The store is open Mondays 8 a.m.-Noon and Thursday evenings 6-8 p.m. and is located on Lancaster Avenue.
The store has everything from clothing for the whole family, household items, books, and they even have a large selection of Prom Dresses.
And what is so amazing is they sell their prom dresses for only $5. This allows girls that may not otherwise be able to afford a dress to purchase a nice dress for an unbelievable price!
Most items cost anywhere from $.50-$2.00. They keep costs low to allow themselves to serve every family budget. All money made in the store goes directly back to the community.
Go visit Sheila Cobb and Ms. Gayle. They will certainly take care of you. I can guarantee when you leave this place you will feel a little more loved and taken care of.
