The American Red Cross has big plans for their annual "Heroes" luncheon which is coming up on Friday, June 20th at the National Guard Armory here in Owensboro.  They plan to honor, posthumously, Neil Bradley and Joe Lowe, for their dedication and long list of contributions to the Red Cross.

Neil Bradley is a former American Red Cross board member and served as the charity's Health and Safety Instructor from 2010 to 2013.  While he was a full-time employee for three years, Neil was a contributor and active member in the agency for nearly 20 years.  He passed away tragically in November of 2013.  Because of his work teaching life-saving methods, Neil will be honored with the Saving a Life Award.

Joe Lowe is a well-known radio personality whose contributions to the community are countless.  And his work with American Red Cross is no exception.  Joe also served as a Red Cross board member and was involved in the "Heroes" campaign in its earlier stages when it was referred to as "Champions."  Joe passed away Monday, October 15th, 2012 from a brief battle with esophageal cancer.
