Apollo High School closed early this morning due to a break in.  Authorities have now released an update to the situation.

According to the Daviess County Public Schools;

Law enforcement came in to clear the building and ensure safety of students following the break-in.  This decision was an extreme precaution on behalf of the safety of our students.  The building is safe and secure.  Classes will resume on Friday.

According to Sheriff Keith Cain;

At approximately 6 a.m. this morning the Assistant Principal entered the building and observed an individual dressed in all black and camo fleeing the building.  He contacted authorities who discovered through servailance footage that the suspect used forcible entry into the building.  Four units from the Sheriff's Department are on site making sure the school is secure.
