Locally Made ‘Bachelor Santa’ Now Showing at Owensboro Malco Through Dec. 18th
Last year, downtown Owensboro was transformed into a Winter Wonderland for a movie filmed here called 'Bachelor Santa.' While the lead characters were cast from other parts of the country, local folks got to fill in as extras, and local companies were featured in multiple ways, whether by providing props, food, or even just a space for the drama to unfold.
It was SO FUN to see the community come together and be so involved in the process. That excited feeling returned once again as Riverpark Center hosted the world premiere! I think the final number was around 900 people who came, met the stars, walked the red carpet with Chad and yours truly, and enjoyed the adorable story on screen. Here are some wonderful pictures from Camille Armstrong Photography:

'Bachelor Santa' Now Showing at The Malco in Owensboro
If you missed the premiere, you can still watch the movie on the big screen at the Owensboro Malco. Visit their website here, and you can choose from multiple showings each day until December 18th. Keep scrolling for the official trailer to get a sneak peek.

Here's the synopsis: "The film tells the story of a single mother who owns a bakery and is struggling to make ends meet. She enters a baking contest, hoping to win money to help her survive, and the baker's daughter writes a letter to Santa asking for someone for her mother to love. Meanwhile, Santa is getting ready to retire and turn the family business over to his son, Nick. Nick sees the letter and the picture and decides to enter the baking contest the mother has entered so he can meet her."
