Boards By Beth Charcuterie Trays Are Packed With Local Goodness

When my friend, Matt Ramsey, asked if he could bring me a snack this morning, I said, "Does a bear have hair?!" You may know him as Cooker of Deliciousness on social media, and that name fits him very well! He knows what's up when it comes to tasty grub. When he told me it was a charcuterie spread from Boards by Beth made with local components, I was even more excited.

In this day and age, it is SO important to know where your meats, cheeses, fruits, and veggies are coming from. When given the choice, especially when it comes to food, I'm gonna go with products made by folks I know or folks my friends know. Why would I buy honey from a big box store when I can get it down the road from the people who actually raise the bees, rob the bees, and probably even know what flowers the bees visited to make the honey?

Local teacher, Beth Hagan, has been whipping up these edible works of art for a while now in the Tri-State area. She's catered weddings, parties, and sells themed boards for just about any occasion. The charcuterie Matt brought this morning was all decked out for the Holidays in the shape of a wreath with rosemary greens, candy canes, and a big red bow.

It almost looked too beautiful to eat, but our receptionist (shout out, Candace the GOAT!) went down the hall to grab us plates, and we tore that thang up. Everybody was raving about the cheeseball (it has a little kick, SO GOOD.) and the candied pecans and butterscotch coffee beans were a perfect little something sweet.

The coffee bean chocolates are from Iron Stein Coffee Company, the cheeseball is from Livers Farms, the Christmas Candy Ribbons & hand-striped candy canes are from Jen's General Store,  the little honey bears are from Bee Men honey in regular and peppermint. Oooh yum! All of those businesses are based in Morganfield, KY

The Candied Pecans are from Windy Hills Farm + Home in Henderson, KY, and I'm about ready to jump in the car to go buy more. They were soooo good.
