This morning, we were joined by Mr. Jim Gilles for our weekly What's Cookin' segment. I'd heard a rumor about something new they have been fixing up out at Hillview Farms Market. New to me, at least. Candied Apple Salad.

Now, my mama makes an apple salad every so often with apples, raisins, and celery. In comparison to this Candied Apple Salad, that version is the calorie-counting cousin who ran a marathon before your Thanksgiving dinner. Jim's apple salad is your fun uncle you disappear out back with to shoot and drink beer with.

If you've been tasked with taking a dish to your Thanksgiving get-together this week, but you aren't sure what to make, this is the recipe. It isn't a traditional turkey day side, but everyone will LOVE IT. Or maybe you can put it in your pocket til Christmas dinner. It's super easy and affordable, plus there are CANDY BARS IN IT. Here's how you make it.
