Having a good breakfast in the morning got you ready for the day! Sadly many of our favorite sugary cereals have gone away. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and reminisce.

When I was younger we didn't have much money so we had the cheapest, most bland cereal at the grocery store. Then as I got older we were able to afford some of the amazing, sugary cereal creations on the shelf and I would beg and plead with Mom until I got all of my favorites for Saturday morning. There was nothing better than a big bowl of cereal while watching cartoons in front of the small (very small) TV with those three channels! You had to get something in your belly before you went outside to play with your friends all day (yes, that's what we did before electronics took over)!

Did you also fight with your siblings to see who would get the prize out of the cereal box first? My Mom would have a fit if she caught me or my sister with our hands shoved down the box to retrieve the surprise! Whoever got caught, lost the prize which was usually me.
