Foodstock is being hosted in the town of Somerset, Kentucky.  The festival will feature 17 different food trucks with a variety of foods in what they are calling "tastes of the Bluegrass" to get your taste buds in a fantastic mood.  Not to mention nine drink and spirit vendors will be on hand.

The entire event is free to the public and everyone is invited to come out on Saturday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and enjoy all the food and the live music.  The stage will feature local and regional musicians including the Rumpke Mountain Boys, Cody Lee Meece, Tommy Minton & Friends, and the Lake Cumberland Blues SocietyAll music will take place on the Pulaski County Judicial Center Plaza.

Local Artists are even encouraged to enter the Foodstock Art Contest.  Artists have the opportunity to actually compete and create in real-time right there on the spot.  The theme for the contest this year is "Community" with three $1,000 prizes up for grabs to the best artist.

Twin Lakes Ice Creamery & Inn

Twin Lakes Ice Creamery and Inn is literally the stuff dreams are made of. It's located right outside the center of Leitchfield on Main Street.
They make all their ice creams homemade right in the shop. They have around 19 different flavors including the classic (strawberry, chocolate, vanilla) and then the outside-of-the-box specialty flavors like (red velvet, cookie monster, fairy dust, and banana pudding). Their claim to fame...they don't fluff their ice cream to get more out of the batch. It is packed full of goodness.
