‘Foodstock’ Food Truck Festival Coming To Kentucky
You've heard of Woodstock but what about Foodstock? Foodstock is a huge day of food trucks, art, and music and it's coming to Kentucky.
Foodstock is being hosted in the town of Somerset, Kentucky. The festival will feature 17 different food trucks with a variety of foods in what they are calling "tastes of the Bluegrass" to get your taste buds in a fantastic mood. Not to mention nine drink and spirit vendors will be on hand.
The entire event is free to the public and everyone is invited to come out on Saturday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and enjoy all the food and the live music. The stage will feature local and regional musicians including the Rumpke Mountain Boys, Cody Lee Meece, Tommy Minton & Friends, and the Lake Cumberland Blues Society. All music will take place on the Pulaski County Judicial Center Plaza.
Local Artists are even encouraged to enter the Foodstock Art Contest. Artists have the opportunity to actually compete and create in real-time right there on the spot. The theme for the contest this year is "Community" with three $1,000 prizes up for grabs to the best artist.
