Good news. We love it when we hear nice stories. This morning on the WBKR Waking Crew Show we received a call from Sharon Hobbs telling us about something that was so sweet. Girl Scout # 615 raised $1,300 through sales of their Girl Scot Cookies. With the funds, the girls planned a trip to Mammoth Cave. When, however, they heard the father of one of their members had died unexpectedly, their plans changed. The girls talked to their scout leader, Susan Montalbo-Gesser and told her they wanted to contribute their trip money to the girl’s family for them to use in their time of tragedy.

Now for the other good news. When the Owensboro Civitan Club heard about it, as part of their program, “Unselfish Acts”, they decided to give the girls a check for $1,300 so they could still take the trip. They will go to Mammoth Cave in June. Don't they look happy?
