Okay, so I'm gonna have to pull back a little bit. I have railed against the Honey Boo Boo show for what I think it means about television, but I will now hold my tongue. Showing some love for Emma Joy Ford will do that.

I might be asked if I've changed my opinion about the show. I will report that my opinion about the show does not matter. What matters is any and all support and love given to any child suffering from a terrible disease no human being should have to endure.

I have a great deal of respect for all those around the world giving Thumbs Up for Lane Goodwin. And I have a new-found respect for Honey Boo Boo who, as you can see in this photo, is sporting a Team Emma shirt and holding a picture of Emma Joy Ford.

By the way, in case you are unaware, Emma has been diagnosed with primitive neuroectodermal embriogenic tumor (PNET).

Actually, it might not be accurate to say that I didn't have respect for this girl, previously. She's just a child. She's playing along. And she might look back at this 10 or 15 years from now and think, "What in the world was happening?"

But right now, she's all over Facebook showing support for another little girl who deserves all she can get. As far as I'm concerned, nothing else matters.
