Did you know that the EVSC offers a Culinary Arts course for high school students who attend school at North and South Gibson, Spencer, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties?

Culinary Arts Courses

Ok, this is a class that actually makes me want to enroll in high school again. This is not a Home Economics class; students who complete the Culinary Arts courses at Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center earn dual credits from Vincennes University. Some students could jump right into a career from high school, or they could choose to keep expanding their palate. Either way, the hands-on training can set students up for some pretty amazing career options.

The Lunch Box

The culinary students create delicious lunches that the public is invited to try. The Lunch Box is a restaurant located inside of the SICTC. During the school year, The Lunch Box is open for business. Now, this is not your typical school lunch. The menus are quite fancy and affordable, too.

This year, The Lunch Box will only be open Tuesdays & Thursdays only from 10:15 AM to 1:00 PM. Please note: Cash only. Meals are still $8!

The Lunch Box Opening Date

The students are ready to share their creations with us. I'm excited to announce that The Lunch Box will open on September 9th. That is pretty exciting, right? Well, let's check out that menu.
