Popular Evansville Jazz Musician
Monte Skelton is an incredible musician from Evansville. He absolutely slays any instrument he plays including but not limited to Saxophone, Guitar, Bass, and a really cool synthesizer/clarinet woodwind called the Akai EWI 4000s. Skelton is so much fun to watch. How does he make it look so easy? Here is a video of his set from the 2021 Evansville Porchfest.
Sheryl Rouse has been singing her whole life and when I say "sing," I really mean she can "SANG" With an unbelievable voice and energy to match, she and her band know how to throw it down. You better wear your dancing shoes! Here she is singing a Tracy Chapman song, but she does a pretty amazing Tina Turner tribute too. Gracing stages all over Kentucky, we are lucky to enjoy her performing in Owensboro.
Last but not least, Higher Ground was a crowd favorite last year. Their upbeat, funky sound and energetic performers are so much fun! From old-school Stevie Wonder to Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak's new Silk Sonic grooves, it is sure to be one heck of a party! Here's a little taste of Higher Ground:
