From Holiday World To Broadway Kelsie Watts Takes Center Stage

Less than a year after snagging a role in an iconic Broadway musical, a former Holiday World entertainer has landed a role in another one.

In April of 2025, Kelsie Watts landed a dream role in the Broadway musical, Six! She was cast as Jane Seymour.

It's the Jane Seymour character that gets the honors of absolutely ripping into the show's power ballad "Heart of Stone." Kelsie slayed it!

Well now, she's moving on to another Broadway powerhouse.

It's hard to believe that it was just over a decade ago that Kelsie was entertaining crowds in the shows at Holiday World. The Santa Claus, Indiana-based amusement park has a pretty storied history of helping launch some notable Broadway careers. Another recent example is Chris Medlin.

In 2013, Medlin starred in the theme park's 80s show called Rewind. Since then, he has starred on Broadway in Mean Girls and Diana, and also made his mark in television on the show Sweet Magnolias.

Kelsie is taking a similar path of her own. Now that her time in the cast of Six! has come to a close, she's set to take over the role of Satine in the wildly popular musical Moulin Rouge!. She'll step into the role the on Tuesday, March 24th following the departure of Meg Donnelly, who will take her final bow on Sunday, March 1st.

Watts will be serving as a sort of 'anchor leg' for Moulin Rouge! It was announced recently that the long-running show will play its final performance on July 26th, 2026.
