Kings Island, fresh off another successful Halloween Haunt, is gearing up for the finale of its 2024 operating season. At the end of the month, the popular amusement park will open for its annual WinterFest celebration. The park just released the official map for this year's event.

WinterFest is a true holiday celebration and the Mason, Ohio amusement park is turned into a virtual Winter Wonderland of sorts. Kings Island features over seven million lights. Plus, there's ice skating on the Royal Fountain, holiday shopping, delicious goodies and, of course, rides!

While not all of the park's major attractions are open for WinterFest, some of their marquee coasters are.

Earlier this week, Kings Island was conducting test runs on some of those legendary rides. Check this out! On Thursday, it happened to be snowing in Cincinnati when the park was testing its side-by-side Racers!

The Racer will indeed be open during WinterFest. So, will the park's newest wooden coaster- Mystic Timbers.

In addition to The Racer and Mystic Timbers, the park, as it has for years, is converting its indoor coaster The Flight of Fear (inside Area 72) into The Flight of Cheer.

Each night of WinterFest, there is a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The park's centerpiece- a massive replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris- is transformed into a Christmas tree. It's so gigantic and festive that it stands 314-feet tall!

Plus, guests are also treated to a WinterFest Wonderland Parade, which gets underway nightly at 8:30pm. According to Kings Island's official website, the parade is filled with "classic holiday themes such as toy boxes, gingerbread houses, choo-choo trains, and more." Plus, there are 'merriment' characters, singers, dancers and even the big guy himself- Santa Claus!

WinterFest gets underway on Friday, November 29th and runs selected nights through New Year's Eve. For hours of operation and to purchase tickets, CLICK HERE!
