The Kentucky State Police's Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division will launch a new ticketing campaign on Tuesday (10/1) which will target aggressive driving behaviors.

The Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks campaign or TACT will focus on violations by motorists, both passenger and commercial, who exhibit aggressive driving such as improper lane changes, speeding, following too closely, not leaving enough space to pass, and the failure to yield right of way.

TACT will use a combination of high visibility messaging coupled with targeted enforcement activities in selected high-risk traffic area to reduce highway deaths and injuries.

One of the targeted corridors for the two-week campaign will be US-41 in Henderson. The other targeted areas will be Hardin Co., I-65; Kenton Co., I-75; Laurel Co., I-75; and Floyd Co., US-23. These areas have had the highest number of reported crashes over a two-year period
