Local Owensboro-Daviess County Schools Raised Huge Amount of Money For Pediatric Cancer

Apollo High School National Honor Society Students have been hosting Dance Blue for 5 years now.  This year they exceeded their goal for helping Pediatric Cancer Research!Dance Blue is an organization that started at the University of Kentucky to help raise money for Pediatric Cancer Research.  They have since branched out into schools all over and are helping drive awareness about the need for research!

A night is hosted and fundraising is done and students dance their hearts out for 8 hours.  It is an awesome event and I am so proud of all the students and schools who came together to make this possible (College View Middle School, Burns Middle School, Owensboro Catholic, and Apollo High School).  This year they set a goal of $60,000.  Well...they crushed it raising over $68,000!!!  In just 5 years the students have raised a total of $160,000.
