Angela Shoemaker was sitting in a conference room last Friday watching a live video of the KASA Fred Award presentation. She was unable to attend due to a medical issue. The great news is, the custodian from Muhlenberg South Middle School won!

Shoemaker learned she was a finalist for the award back toward the end of the school year.

Inspired by the bestselling novel The Fred Factor by Mark Sanborn, the Fred Award honors critical non-administrative staff members who aren't often recognized. The individual displays a spirit of service, innovation, and commitment to others, positively influencing and impacting the lives of those in the school community.
