Old Navy & Buckle Stores Now Open in Owensboro

It's finally happening! Old Navy and Buckle are now open right before holiday shopping really kicks into gear. I know y'all have been following the Gateway Commons progress like we have. I'm not the only one super excited to have new options when it comes to clothes!

We originally shared word from Old Navy management that their first day would be tomorrow, but the team must have been working overtime because they are ready for customers today! You may want to wait until the official grand opening, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 15th at 10 AM.

Here's When the Buckle Will Open in Owensboro

Some of you may have already stopped by the new Buckle location in Gateway Commons, which opened last week. Our friends at Owensboro Times spoke with manager Dyann Duncan for the scoop on why this store is special.  Regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Sunday from noon to 6 PM. Look out for special extended holiday hours as well.

Publix in Owensboro

As excited as I am about new clothes shopping opportunities, I'm also pumped for the Publix! We LOVE their BOGO deals and sub sandwiches. Here is a list of some Publix favorites that we can look forward to. 

Gateway Commons Owensboro Shopping Center Layout

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering where all of the new stores in the Hwy 54 area will be located. Developers Gulfstream Commercial Services recently shared a video that shows a projected view of Gateway Commons once everything is built and open for business.

What Shops Are Coming to Gateway Commons in Owensboro?

In that strip, shoppers already enjoy retailers such as Hobby Lobby, Kirkland's, Ross Dress For Less, PopShelf, Gabe's, Shoe Dept. Encore, 2nd & Charles, Burke's Outlet, Burlington, and Five Below.

With Buckle and Old Navy added to that list, we are still awaiting Boot Barn, Carter's, Sierra Trading Post, HomeGoods, and Publix, which are projected to be completed end of 2025 and into 2026, as well as a Kroger Marketplace.
