Real Life Dairy Cow Visits East View Elementary School! [PHOTOS]
I got to hang out with East View Elementary School students this week, to learn where milk comes from! I've never seen such excited children. It was so adorable!
East View Elementary School students had the chance to learn where the milk they drink comes from, when a dairy cow visited them Wednesday, March 13th, 2019. Jett, the dairy cow, milked, ate and entertained. She was calm, amazing and patient. I think Jett enjoyed every single minute of it! I know that we did.
The students were very respectful, excited and adorable as Haley Fisher, a representative of Southland Dairy Farmers, demonstrated where milk comes from. They asked very good question for as young as they are. I was impressed with the attention they gave.
The mobile dairy lab did a great job describing the different aspects of dairy farming, the different dairy breeds, and the importance of dairy in a child's nutritional diet.
Southland Dairy Farmers are doing wonderful educational programs from North Carolina to Kentucky, delivering a hands-on approach to dairy farming.
We're just thrilled they spent time with us in Owensboro! Thank you so very much for fun and informative presentations. It was a beautiful day.
