The 2015 Polar Bear Plunge is in the books.  And we had a ball in downtown Owensboro, where there many highlights.  Among them . . . Santa Claus.  Yep!  Santa Claus came to town and took the Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Kentucky.  WATCH!

Santa won Saturday's individual costume contest and was the first Plunger of the day.  After Santa, 165 other plungers climbed the giant inflatable staircase and came barreling down the Play Kraze Inflatables slide.  WATCH!

Together, we raised over $20,000 this weekend for Special Olympians just like this guy . . .

That's Chris Willis of Owensboro.  He's a reigning national swim champion and is set to go for the gold this summer at the World Games in Los Angeles, California.  Chris' specialty is the 50-meter freestyle.

The Polar Bear Plunge was just one of two Special Olympic fundraisers that took place Saturday morning.  The first event of the day was the Donut Dash 5K, where runners, just like Jaclyn and me, earned donuts at each mile marker.

We decided totally "Lady and the Tramp" that photo.  And we're not telling who's who.  LOL!

And check out this guy.

That's Koby, who won the Donut Dash 5K.  He finished in a ridiculously fast 17 minutes!!  Amazing.

And, to see some really cool shots of the entire event, check out this video from Owensboro Living.  They brought out the drone and took some amazing overhead shots at Mitch McConnell Plaza.

If you think the Plunge looked like fun and you're sad you missed it, don't worry!  It will be back in 2016.  We'll see you there.
