Scholarship Fundraiser Honors Ohio County, Kentucky Teen Who Died After Long Cancer Battle
Alivia Faith Burgess's family and friends are raising scholarship funds to honor her name. Alivia gained her angel wings on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. We'll celebrate her spirit on Thursday at Bike Night in Beaver Dam.
Alivia Faith was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer in January 2020. She stole the hearts of thousands all over the country with her beautiful heart, positive attitude, her heroic spirit, and her love of life. There was just something about Alivia. We'll never forget her sweet disposition, her brave soul, and her inspirational spirit. She was a hero in every sense of the word, and she's missed.
ALIVIA FAITH BURGESS SCHOLARSHIP
Alivia was a junior at Ohio County High School at the time of her passing. She was an active member of the Beta Club, Eagle Time, and Winterguard during her school years. She was an excellent student, maintaining a grade point average of 3.9. She was also a very talented artist and photographer. She was a well-rounded young lady with a bright future until she lost her battle with cancer. She always put everyone before herself. She deeply cared about how everyone around her was doing, even on her sickest days. I spent time with Alivia in the weeks leading up to her death, and through everything she was dealing with, her smile shined bright. She was a fighter. She wanted to live so badly and didn't want to see people hurting, even if she was in pain. The lives she's touched will never be the same.
This is where the Alivia Faith Burgess Scholarship comes into play. It will be awarded to an Ohio County High School student who exemplifies her tenacity. It's a way to keep her alive in the hearts of those who loved her most. There's a fundraiser planned to raise money for the scholarship.
RUMBLE ON 2ND BIKE NIGHT FUNDRAISER

Stacie will award scholarships to graduating Ohio County High School senior students planning to pursue higher education. If the event gets rained out, it will be moved to next week.
Alivia showed courage, heroism, and grace through her medical journey. We'll never forget her, and we can't wait to celebrate her on Thursday!
ALIVIA FAITH & STACIE SUPPORTING ST. JUDE IN 2022
Alivia and Stacie joined Chad and Angel for the St. Jude Radiothon in 2022. There wasn't a dry eye on that day listening to both of them speak about their cancer journey. Many called in and became a St. Jude Partner-in-Hope during her hour to show support. Grab a tissue and press play to be inspired by their faith amid the fight.
