I don't know about you, but even though it isn't spring yet, I have been in the mood to do some spring cleaning. Maybe it's the fact that I've been hibernating more with the cold weather and the clutter in our house is more prevalent. Thank goodness it is almost time for the annual neighborhood clean-up days hosted by the Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances.

What Items Can Be Picked Up on Neighborhood Clean-up Day?

The City of Owensboro shared that the Sanitation Department will pick up the following on Neighborhood Clean-up Day. Best part? It's free.
  • junk furniture
  • appliances
  • tires
  • other bulky items.

Please do NOT put the following on the curb as they cannot be accepted:

  • construction materials
  • yard waste
  • dirt
  • paint
  • any type of liquid

What Neighborhood Alliance Do I Live In?

If you aren't sure which city neighborhood your home is in, you can find the information map here. Just type your address in the search bar and you'll find that along with your clean-up day date, leaf and toter pick-up info, and what fire station is assigned to your home. When Are the 2025 Free Owensboro Neighborhood Clean-up Days?

You don't have to call CityAction to schedule the pick-up, all you have to do is put your junk on the curb the night before your scheduled free clean-up day. Here are the dates:
