Each February, WBKR hosts our annual St. Jude Radiothon.  A huge highlight of that event is the big Angels for Ashley Cookout, which takes place over the course of two days at Shoe Stop at Wesleyan Park Plaza.  Well, guess what?  If you want some delicious Angels for Ashley BBQ, you won't have to wait until February of 2022 to get it.  You can grab some this Friday!

Shoe Stop is hosting the Angels for Ashley Cookout & Concert, which gets underway at Noon, Friday, October 8th.  The event is presented by St. Jude, Durango Boots and Shoe Stop.

Jerry Morris and the Angels for Ashley Cooking Team will be serving up the following: pork sandwiches, Boston butts, ribs and plate lunches!  And WBKR's Dave Spencer will be there broadcasting live.  He'll be on location from 2pm to 7pm.

In addition to delicious BBQ, there's going to be live music on site.  The concert will start at 5pm and will feature Chancie Neal and Matt "White Trash Royalty" Rogers.
