Kings Island

I am a huge fan of Kings Island in Mason, Ohio.  When I was in high school, my friends and I would make a trip at least once every summer.   And, when I was in college at the University of Louisville, we went a lot!  The park has seen many changes over the last twenty years or so.  There are some amazing new rides.  Some old favorites are no longer there.  Some of the rides are still thrilling gue

Can you believe this?  On November 23rd, 1973 . . . 44 years ago today . . . The Brady Bunch episode filmed at Kings Island made its debut.  And the park celebrated today on Twitter!

Tulsa, Oklahoma is home to a $5 million dollar expressway that gives the Thunderbird at Holiday World a run for its money!  Reminds me of some of the crazy roads I've traveled with my boys for fun.

This year at Kings Island, The Vortex is celebrating its 30th anniversary season!  I cannot tell you how many times I have ridden that coaster in the last thirty years.  I remember when it was built.  It was billed as the first coaster in the world to send riders through six inversions and my friends and I flocked to Kings Island summer after summer to ride it.  We absolutely loved it.  And, thirt

I am there!  I love Kings Island anyway.  But, tonight, the Mason, Ohio amusement park unveiled plans for its brand new roller coaster for 2017.  It's called Mystic Timbers.  It's fast, furious, freaky and is still shrouded in mystery.  Check it out!
