It's always nice to know ahead of time when you're going to have a detour in your travel time around town.  The City of Owensboro is planning several street repairs and wanted to give citzens a head up!

According to the City of Owensboro Mayor's Office Facebook Page the following streets will be closed for repairs this month.  Some of these may be reopened.

STREET CLOSURES

Starting Tuesday, June 12th, Allen Street at the south side of 7th Street will be closed for street repair. This closure is expected to last through Wednesday, June 13th pending no delays or inclement weather. A detour will be appropriately marked for this closure. Please use caution and attention while driving in this area.

Starting Wednesday, June 13th, the east bound lane of 9th Street at Frederica Street will be closed for work at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. This closure is expected to last from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. pending no delays or inclement weather. A detour will be appropriately marked for this closure. Please use caution and attention while driving in this area.

Starting Monday, June 18th, a contractor for OMU will close Tamarack Road from South Griffith Avenue to Lewis Lane. This closure is expected to last through Monday, June 25th pending no delays or inclement weather. A detour will be appropriately marked for this closure. Please use caution and attention while driving in this area.

Starting Monday, June 25th, a contractor for OMU will close Tamarack Road from Lewis Lane to Barron Drive. This closure is expected to last through Monday, July 2nd pending no delays or inclement weather. A detour will be appropriately marked for this closure. Please use caution and attention while driving in this area.
