Kentucky YMCA 5K Run/Walk Is Going To Light Up The Whole Town

Ready to get your "GLOW" on? The Owensboro Family YMCA is hosting a super fun Glow in the Dark 5K and you're invited to help Owensboro get lit for a healthier lifestyle.

WHAT IS GLOWENSBORO?

GLOWensboro is a brand-new 5K and Senior one-mile walk hosted by the Owensboro Family YMCA that invites the community to come out and light their way to a healthier life. The race will actually take place at night and participants are encouraged to dress up in 80s fashion or costumes if they want and even bring glow-in-the-dark paint.

The race is being sponsored by Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown and Hampton Inn - Owensboro South. It will take place on Saturday, October 22, starting at the Owensboro Family YMCA.

There is a 6 p.m. 1-mile Senior Walk (in the YMCA parking lot) and a 7 p.m. 5K run/walk starting and ending at the Owensboro Family YMCA parking lot. Competitive racers need to be at the start line and walkers and those with strollers need to stage in the back.

Registration Pricing:

$35 for Adults - $20 for Children 1-18 and Seniors over 60 (registration will discount at the cart)

Groups of 6 or more will receive a $5 discount per individual...email Kristi@owensboroymca.org for a special code.

Day of Race Registration: $40

There are no race bags for this race. Bibs for competitive racers will be available starting at 5:00 p.m. on race night.
