This time of year always puts me in the mood to shop vintage.  I can't lie, I treasure hunt in spring, summer, and winter too, but fall gives the best vibes for the ideal experience. Grab a coffee, hit up antique shops, and stop at estate sales and markets along the journey.

One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday morning is to jump in the "Party Barge" and follow handmade "yard sale" signs all over town. I plan to do just that this weekend before we run out of good weather for it. On my agenda already is a stop by The Lot on East 4th Street here in Owensboro.

They are hosting another Vintage Vibes market with food trucks, music, and various vendors featuring the best of decor, books, clothes, art, and more from days gone by. Here are some of the vendors from their event page.

Happy treasure hunting! If you want to make a day of it, here is a list of local thrift, vintage, and antique shops you can visit as well.

This Quirky Henderson 'Hidden Gem' is a Vintage Lover's Dream

I love treasure hunting! One of my favorite local shops to visit is Corkscrew Curiosities in Henderson. In an old house at 920 2nd St. is the most adorable little quirky haven of vintage treasures, books old and new, trinkets, stickers, fidgets, clothes, jewelry, local art, and even some wild oddities. Here's just a taste of this unique must-visit spot.
