Are you picky about the ink pen you use? In other words, are you a pen snob?

I’ll admit, I am a pen snob. Now don’t get me wrong, in a pinch, I’ll use a good old, simple ballpoint pen. We have them in ample supply in the office, but you know they get away from you, and they get lost very easily.

However, if I’m in possession of a good pen that I love to use? It’s staying with me wherever I go. I bring it to the studio, I’m not leaving it behind.

Last week, this tweet went viral from Penn State Athletics marketer Chris Grosse.

I could feel a little bit of anxiety kick in, mostly because although I prefer a pen from the left side, starting with number one, I’m more of a 3-5 kind of gal. Actually, numbers 3 and 5 are the ones I use the most.

What is that at number 6? I always thought that pen was more of a marker, and that leads to the old-school ballpoint at number 7.  I'm also picky when it comes to the precision of the point. 1.0 is too much like a marker, and it won't dry as fast. For me, it's either a 0.7 or 0.5 point.

Yeah, this pen will NOT be left behind. Yes, even Bic evolved beyond their boring, yet reliable regular ballpoint pens. What about you? Which kind of pen do you like and you have to have to write with?

White Water Rafting at Cumberland Falls in Kentucky

This summer, we decided to go on our first real family adventure - white water rafting. There is a white water rafting tour about four hours from the tri-state at Cumberland Falls. Run by Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort, the tour lasts about six hours. It includes an up-close meet and greet with the falls, plenty of swimming, rock jumping, a riverboat ride, and lunch! Check out photos from our adventure.
