The duet we didn't know we needed.

Two of my favorite musicians in the entire world teamed up and all was right with the world. I don't know how to explain it, but Kermit the Frog and Tyler Childers have very similar vibes, am I right?

Tyler Childers rolled his Mule Pull '24 Tour into New York City's Madison Square Garden this week and performed to a packed house. The Kentucky native has a massive following of fans, myself included, because of the incredibly descriptive lyrics, clever wordplay, and thoughtful messages in his songs. He was nominated for five Grammys at the 66th annual award show.

Kermit the Frog and Tyler Childers Playing Lady May

A highlight of the evening, was without a doubt when the one and only Kermit the Frog joined him on stage to sing with him. Lady May is one of Childers' most well-known songs. A beautiful and touching love ballad written for his wife Senora May. His lyrics paint a picture of two lovers exploring nature together. It was perfect to hear Kermit sing lyrics like

"I'm a stone's throw from the mill
And I'm a good walk to the river
When my workin' day is over
We'll go swim our cares away
Put your toes down in the water
And a smile across your face
And tell me that you love me
Lovely, Lady May"

Sounds like something he might sing about Miss Piggy!

Kermit the Frog and Tyler Childers Sing Movin' Right Along

After Lady May, Tyler called his band, The Food Stamps, out to join them for The Muppets' famous song from the 1979 masterpiece, The Muppet Movie.  The whole crowd started to sing along. So much fun!

As a lifelong HUGE Muppet fan and a lover of Tyler Childers, this made me so happy. I hope it makes you smile too!
