Inaugural Railbird Music Festival Coming to Keeneland in August
What is a "railbird" anyway? He or she is a horse racing enthusiast who sticks close to the action when a race is going, hanging on the rail so to speak. Keeneland in Lexington is using the term as a launching pad for its first ever big music festival to be held on the grounds. Just who is going to be there?
So, day one, Saturday, August 10th we have: Jack White's band The Raconteurs, Brandi Carlile, Old Crow Medicine Show, Mandolin Orange, Mavis Staples, Robert Earl Keen, Lucie Silvas, and America's Got Talent former winner Grace Vanderwaal.
Not bad.
On day two, Sunday, August 11th, hitting the stage: Hozier, Tyler Childers, Gary Clark Jr., St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Lucinda Williams, and I'm With Her.
And as the tweet says, pre-sale is now, tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 28th. Prices vary during the pre-sale depending on how late you acquire tickets.
