Kentucky Radio Personalities Crash School Picture Day at an Owensboro Elementary School

'Tis the season to say "CHEESE!" Last Friday was School Picture Day at Sutton Elementary School in Owensboro, KY. So, my morning show co-host and I decided that we'd dress up in our Sunday best and crash the event! And we did armed with some fun retro props.  Mary-Katherine proudly carried around her Trapper Keeper throwback. I threw a Golden Girls backpack over my shoulders and grabbed a vintage The Lion King lunch box!

I'm not sure the students at Sutton quite knew what to think when we showed up. Mary-Katherine adorned herself in a festive pink dress and wore her hair in pigtails. I was decked out in a shirt, shorts, bow tie and tube socks up to my neck.

We busted up into the library with a bunch of third-graders and waited for our turn to pose for school pics. The kids thought it was hilarious. I think the questions ranged from "Why are you dressed like a kid?" to "How old are you?" to "Why do you have your lunch box with you?" to "Who are you and why are you here?"

By the way, we were cheering for and giving high-fives to the students as they took their photos. We make a great (and really dorky) cheering section. But, when it was our turn to pose for our Lifetouch photos, we turned it on even more. We rocked out our very own school pics.

As for me, I was determined to get my tube socks in my school photo. So, after being told that my socks probably wouldn't make it into the shot, I decided to hoist my leg up to make sure at least one of them did.

After posing for our pics, we crashed Mary-Katherine's son's classroom and posed with them too. They hadn't gone down to take their photos yet, so we had them practice smiling- REAL BIG- in our photo!

Look at that kid in the front!  LOL. The one in the long-sleeve black shirt. Hilarious.

After leaving class, we decided to take our photo shoot outside and get some great shots at the entrance of the school as well.

Mary-Katherine rocked out the entrance! I rocked out a "Sutton" bench.
