Windy Hollow Opens New Cafe at OCTC’s Campus Center

Whether you're out in the county at the iconic Windy Hollow Restaurant or Windy Hollow Biscuit House in Wesleyan Park Plaza, you're gonna enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal.

Whether you're going for lunch with meatloaf, fried chicken, mashed taters, fried green tomatoes, or a good ole country breakfast with extra gravy, you will leave with a smile on your face. You'll probably also have to loosen your belt when you get to the car.

It's not only their delicious food and creative coffee drinks that keep me coming back whenever that brunch craving hits. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly service are unmatched. Just makes you feel like you're visiting family, you know?

Feeding people isn't just a business; it's a calling for our friends, Evelyn "Rooster" Miller and her daughter, Hallie. I am SO excited they have finally announced something they've had up their sleeves for a little while.

When classes begin for students next week at the Owensboro Community & Technical College, they'll be in for a real treat! The Windy Hollow Cafe is gearing up to keep those study sessions fueled with favorites that have me wanting to re-enroll in classes.

Where is the Windy Hollow Cafe Located on OCTC Campus?

It is located in the Campus Center, where the bookstore is. They'll be open Monday-Thursday 8 AM to 3 PM. Hallie is a coffee wizard, so I know they'll be fixing delicious drinks, lattes, and smoothies for students on the go who need a caffeine fix.

"We are proud to be partnering with OCTC to offer fresh food on their campus. They've installed a very nice commercial kitchen that will allow us to cook anything we can think up!" Rooster told me they will be doing a small menu that includes biscuits and gravy, fresh cinnamon rolls, burgers, salads, wraps, and a home-cooked daily special.

That warms my heart, as I know some college students may not get that kind of meal if they are living away from home. Maybe that will mean more green beans and fewer Ramen noodles.

Windy Hollow Restaurant (Highway 81 - Sunday ONLY) - Host/Hostess - must be 16+ and available Sundays!

Windy Hollow Biscuit House - Full-Time Experienced Cook & Full-Time Experienced Server
