Idol Contestant Overcomes Stammer to Wow Judges [VIDEO]

Normally, it's Chad who spotlights a phenomenal American Idol contestant. But since he's in Memphis, I'll take his turn. And I'm happy to do it.

When Naples, Florida ice cream scooper Lazaro Arbos speaks, it is with a distinct stammer. When he sings, it is gone. The judges--Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson--were understandably impressed. The kid's amazing.

What I found interesting was how shocked Randy Jackson was that the stammer disappeared when Lazaro sang. Hey, Randy, ever hear of a country music legend named Mel Tillis?
